To the people of Haiti…
After the earthquake
After the earthquake everything can start again.
After the earthquake we all return the same, as in dreams.
After the earthquake we remember why we were there, in that house with those people, at that time.
After the earthquake we love more who remained.
After the earthquake we know better who is gone.
After the earthquake we feel small.
After the earthquake we forget what time it is.
After the earthquake we discover who really loves us.
After the earthquake we like the taste of water.
After the earthquake to sleep is a privilege.
After the earthquake to dream is an achievement.
After the earthquake, the future is no longer granted.
After the earthquake the present is the most precious thing.
After the earthquake we expect the best from everything.
After the earthquake we don’t care how.
After the earthquake we care what.
After the earthquake we know it may return.
After the earthquake we want to be ready.
After the earthquake we know the difference between laughing and smiling.
After the earthquake we know the difference between crying and whimpering.
After the earthquake we didn’t wish it to anyone.
After the earthquake we expect deference for our sorrow.
After the earthquake we want a revenge on our pain.
After the earthquake we can start again.
After the earthquake everything must start again.
After the earthquake everything must be better than before...
